Tour Dates: 9th July - 24th July 2011
 
This tour travels into some of the most beautiful valleys in the Himalayas - Kullu, Kinnaur, Spiti and Lahaul. Crossing three passes, the highest at an altitude of 14,900 ft, through orchards and mystical lakes, the well-maintained roads and not so maintained roads allow riders to put their Bullets through their paces. The mix of beautiful valleys, ancient civilizations and the pure joy of riding a 500cc Royal Enfield is sure to keep the dinner party chatter alive long after you get back home.
 
Day 1: Delhi
 
Land in Delhi and pick up from airport by an Extreme Bike Tour Director and taken to luxury hotel. We have a luxury car and driver on standby should anyone wish to visit any tourist attractions in the capital.
 
Day 2: Delhi - Parvati Valley
 

Flight from Delhi - Kullu Airport (1:30 hr) pick up from airport and arrive 30 min later at hotel in Parvati Valley. Once checked in we will introduce you to your 500cc Bullet and then go for a short ride up into the Himalayan foothills near the famous village of Malana. (15 km)

 
Day 3: Parvati and Kullu Valley
 

A relaxed ride today to acclimatise and get used to your Bullet. From Parvati to Nagar, Kullu Valley for lunch and then we head back along the forest lined winding Himalayan Road to Parvati. (120 km)

 
Day 4: Manali - Jalori Pass (10,575 ft)
 
After leaving our base in the Parvati Valley we follow the Parvati River down into the Kullu Valley and head south to our first pass. After crossing the pass we set up camp for our first night under the Himalayan skies. (95 km)
 

Day 4: Jalori - Sarahan

 
After breakfast we start heading east into the Tribal regions. The next stop is Sarahan were we will be visiting the Bhimakali Temple. Opposite this temple is the Lankra Vir Temple where human sacrifices occurred until the 18th century. Then to our campsite for the night. (110 km)
 

Day 5: Sarahan - Sangla Valley

 
From Sarahan we continue east and then head south into the Sangla Valley. This has been called the most beautiful valley in the Himalayas and is breath taking. We will explore this valley and you will be able to stop and relax and drink tea with the locals. Another night spent camping under the Himalayan stars. (110 km)
 
Day 6: Sangla - Kalpa
 
We head back up the Sangla Valley today and head to the beautiful village of Kalpa, high up on the side of the valley. There is a stunning view of Mount Kailash from here where it is said the Lord Shiva, head of the Hindu gods, spends the monsoon. Guesthouse for the night. (80 km)
 
Day 7: Kalpa
 
The day is spent relaxing and visiting the local area and attractions. Guesthouse for the night. (20 km)
 
Day 8: Kalpa - Tabo
 
Today we head into the restricted area and are literally a few kilometers from the Tibet/Chinese border. Driving through deep valleys you get a real thrill from the sound of your Bullet as we head towards Tabo in the Spiti Valley. The Tabu Gompa dominates the small town, which is a world heritage site, and preserves some of the finest Indo-Tibetan art in the world. Guesthouse for the night. (120 km)
 
Day 9: Tabo - Pin Valley National Park
 
Today's ride takes us into the land of the Ibex and snow leopard. Sightings are very rare but you may be lucky. Another relaxed evening spent in our own camp in beautiful scenery. (95 km)
 
Day 10: Pin Valley to Kaza
 
From Pin we head to the capitol of Spiti valley, Kaza. On the way we will stop at one of the many monasteries doted around. Once we have settled in to our guesthouse, we will head up to Kibber, the worlds highest village at 14,010 ft. Guesthouse for the night. (90 KM)
 
Day 11: Kaza - Moon Lake
 
Today we travel over a 14,931 ft pass on the way to our campsite for the night by the magical moon lake (Chandra Tal). The high altitudes mean that the panoramic views of the towering snowcaps of the Himalayas are fantastic. A great evening awaits us for our last night of camping under the stars.

Day 12: Moon Lake - Manali
 
Today we travel back into civilisation to our Hotel in Manali. Over the final pass Rhotang La at 13,100 ft. This pass, although not the highest, can be interesting to travel over. You will need all your biking skills at hand to get through the potholes and avoid the buses and trucks. And then another 60 km back to Manali. The tour has gone a full circle now and there will be plenty of time for cocktails and talking about the journey and recovering. (120 km)
 
Day 13: Manali
 
A day of rest. After a nice lie in you can spend the day as you please. Manali is a famous tourist destination for Indian and foreign tourists alike and it has many good shops and attractions to see.

Day 14 Manali - Parvati Valley
 
Extreme sports are the order of the day today. On our way back to our base in Parvati we stop for some white water rafting on the Beas River for those who wish to brave the cold water. (120 km)
 
Day 15: Parvati - Delhi
 
Flight from Kullu - Delhi in the morning to connect with you home bound flight.
